Block buying questions

How much does a half concrete block weigh?

Approximately 1,800 lb. Its typical dimensions are three feet long, two feet wide and two feet high.

Is a half block the same as a 2×2×4 block?

No. Our standard half block is three feet long, not four feet.

Will half blocks fit every full block?

Interlock profiles vary. Send the dimensions and profile of your existing blocks so we can help select matching units.

Can full and half blocks be quoted together?

Yes. List both quantities in one request for a single quote covering blocks and delivery. Full and partial loads are welcome, with no minimum order.

When do I need half blocks?

Use half blocks to stagger joints in a stacked wall, turn a corner or finish a run that does not fit six-foot lengths. The count at each course end depends on your wall layout; send the dimensions so we can work through the mix.
